Summary:   Many people have different views on the subject of child rights cases when the parents are in separate countries. Mrs. Chafin wanted to let their daughter go back with her to Scotland to finish school and let the courts over there decide custody. The courts granted permission and then the 11th circuit said since she was gone that there was nothing to review.


Outcome: The mom was granted custody pretty much because she fled the country and the court of appeals said they had nothing to review.


My opinion: This was decided in a wrong manner. They pretty much just said hop on the next flight out of the country and you are home free. I dont feel that this was the right outcome.

Start-Up December 3rd

1.     Limbaugh's views are controversial because he is gooing against the catholic church which finds everything he said absolutely wrong. The world is split on this so everything is going to be controversial.

Start-Up November 19th

1.    The newspaper thought little of the speech because when the Gettysburg Address first came out the original newspaper thought very little of it.



2.    Other parts of the Union really didnt agree with this because they referred to it as one of the most important things that has ever been said.

Start-Up November 18th

I think that they should allow prayer before public meetings because they have been doing it all along. The world is heading in a direction of not believing in God and removing prayer from everything makes the world a worse place not a better place.

Start-Up November 6th

I disagree with Kmarts decision to to open at 6a.m. on Thanksgiving because people should be able to spend the day with their families and not worry about the shoppers. Black friday should start at midnight which is Friday. It is not right for the workers to spend their Thanksgiving working. Big time stores are greedy and don't care about their employees. They just want to make money.

Start-Up November 4th

1. I believe that tougher requirements to vote will reduce the number of voters because the elder generation can't keep up with all this new stuff. They need to grandfather a certain age into the new laws. It wont affect the younger generation much.


2. I dont believe this is a violation of anyone's rights by making you supply all the documents its just a pain in the neck.

Start-Up November 1

1. No this was not a justifiable shooting because no one was getting hurt and it was just a little prank some kids wanted to pull on there principal.


2. This shooting shows us that everyone is scared to death now days and a person cant have a little bit of fun without being shot or the law called.
